Hosting student film competitions and free sneak-peak movies before they hit theaters, this committee brings the best in cinema to UK’s campus.

Come join us on April 3 & 4, where we will be showing The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. This event will take place at 8:00pm in Worsham Theater, Student Center. Sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Past events include presentations by PostSecret author Frank Warren as well as Bravo’s Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano. The Rasdall Gallery, located in the Student Center, has housed several amazing exhibits brought to you by this committee, like The Art of the Brick Lego!

University of Kentucky alumni Nick Baute and Robert Ronk prove that Print’s Not Dead with their letterpress shop Hound Dog Press in Louisville, KY. The exhibit “Print’s Not Dead: An Exhibit of Letterpress” will be on display starting February 9 until March 1 in the Rasdall Gallery.

The Traditions Committee brings to life the annual UK Homecoming Celebration. The week’s events include the banner and float competitions, 5K walk/run, philanthropic events, and the annual Homecoming game with the Mr. and Ms. UK celebration. Packed full of Wildcat pride and UK spirit, the Traditions Committee is also tasked with planning the annual Little Kentucky Derby Festival in the spring.
This year's Homecoming Week will be October 13-20, 2012. Created by current students for peers, alumni and prospective students, Homecoming Week focuses on both building new and reminiscing on old UK memories. As members of the Homecoming Committee, students get the chance to use their leadership strengths to let the community know what they love about the University of Kentucky.
